Chris Blair

Chris Blair was named Vice President of Racing Operations for Las Vegas Motor Speedway in December 2006. Chris came to the speedway in 2001 after spending four years as Director of the National Hot Rod Association's Northwest Division.

Since arriving in Las Vegas, Chris has focused on transforming The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway into America's greatest drag strip. The Strip is highly regarded as the premiere drag racing destination and hosts the largest events for both sportsman and professional racing in the United States.

Chris began his career as a motorsports journalist and moved on to event promotion upon his graduation from the University of Kentucky. Chris promoted dirt tracks in Kentucky before moving to PACE Motorsports (now Clear Channel Motorsports) in 1995. While in his role of Director as Business Development for PACE, he was involved in the production of Monster Truck, Air Show, Supercross and Stadium Off-Road events. In 1997 he moved to Seattle to oversee the National Hot Rod Association's racing operations in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada.

A native of Jeremiah, Kentucky, Chris and his wife Heather have one son, Austin.
